Minister receives IISS executive director

Manama, Oct. 30 (BNA): Foreign Affairs Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa received the Executive Director of the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS) for Middle East, Sir Tom Beckett. During the meeting, the minister commended the distinguished role played by IISS in enhancing security and stability in the region. He also affirmed the ministry†s keenness to develop frameworks of cooperation and joint coordination with IISS in various fields, especially in research and studies that address pivotal regional and international issues, wishing Sir Tom Beckett and all IISS staff further success. Sir Tom Beckett expressed his pleasure to have met with the Minister, and extended his utmost appreciation for his support for the IISS programs in order to achieve its objectives, wishing the Kingdom of Bahrain further progress and prosperity.
