Minister receives prize winning students

Manama, Apr. 5 (BNA): Education Minister Dr. Majid bin Ali Al Nuaimi received the winners of Prince Sultan bin Salman Prize for Memorisation of the Holy Quran for disabled children in its 22nd edition held in Al-Madina Al-Munawarrah, Saudi Arabia. Students from various GCC countries took part in the contest. Student Ziyad Nasser Jamal Al Din from Alia Early Intervention Centre received the first place in the category of "memorisation of a full juz." Hala Yousef Abdulmalik from Amina bint Wahab Primary Girls' School won the second place in the category of "memorisation 10 successive Surahs". Abdullah Mohammed Yusuf from Al Khwarizmi Primary Boys' School won the fourth place in the category of "memorisation 10 successive Surahs." Dr. Al Nuaimi congratulated the winning students on their outstanding results, praising the award and its achievements. He stressed the keenness of the ministry to encourage its students to memorise and recite the Holy Quran.
