Minister receives Somali ambassador's credentials

Manama, Aug. 23 (BNA): Minister of Foreign Affairs Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa received in his office today morning, Taher Mahmoud Jili, who presented his credentials as Riyadh-based Designate Ambassador of the brotherly Federal Republic of Somalia to the Kingdom of Bahrain. During the meeting, the Minister welcomed the Somali Ambassador and hailed the existing brotherly relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Federal Republic of Somalia. He wished the ambassador success and expressed Bahrain’s keenness to bolster bilateral ties and exert all possible effort to underpin ties in all fields to serve the interests of the two brotherly countries and peoples. For his part, the ambassador expressed his country’s desire to develop its relations with the Kingdom of Bahrain and vowed to spare no effort to bolster the brotherly bilateral relations in all domains to achieve common interests of both countries and peoples. During the meeting, a number of issues of mutual interest were also discussed.
