Minister receives WHO delegation

Manama, Mar. 14 (BNA): Health Minister Faeqa Saeed Al Saleh has received a delegation from the World Health Organisation (WHO). The delegation of experts visited the Public Health Laboratories during March 11-13 and viewed the ministry’s preparations vis-à-vis the contagious seasonal flu and efforts of monitoring and national capacities' boosting. The minister praised the WHO's efforts in advancing the health services, as well as the experts' discussion of health-related issues and their contribution to convey scientific and technical expertise to Bahraini medical staff in coordination with the relevant entities in the Kingdom. Al Saleh reaffirmed the wise government’s attentiveness to the provision of optimal medical services and boosting the health services provided by the ministry to all citizens and residents. She affirmed the ministry’s keenness on bolstering the cooperation with the WHO to achieve the ministry’s strategy and aspirations of further developing healthcare services in Bahrain to achieve its sustainable development goals (SDGs).
