Minister supports opening of Amity University branch

Manama, Mar. 24 (BNA): Education Minister Dr. Majid bin Ali Al Nuaimi received President and GM of India-based Amity University, Dr. Ajit Nagpal, and his accompanying delegation. The delegation briefed the minister about the university's academic programmes, intake capacity, and the initial site of the university's branch in Bahrain. According to the ministry, the minister supports the opening of a branch for Amity University and other universities after satisfaction of all legal, administrative and academic requirements. The ministry issued a press release in which it said Amity University is one of the leading international universities focused on key disciplines including information technology (IT), geographic data systems, remote sensing, aerospace, engineering, telecommunication science and technology. Amity University has branches in Britain, USA, the UAE and other countries.
