Ministry directed to supply needed medication

Manama, May 18 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa has directed to fast-track provision of hospitals with the needed medications. He directed the Health Ministry to determine the needs of hospitals for medications and provide them immediately, especially those needed for surgeries, including organ transplantation. HRH the Premier’s directives aim to boost the health sector’s ability to cater for citizens’ health needs and provide them with the needed medical services. Health Minister Faeqa bint Said Al Saleh expressed deepest thanks and respect to HRH the Prime Minister for his directives which embody his personal keenness and follow-up on citizens’ needs. She stressed that she had directed the competent officials at the ministry to follow up on provision of medicines and medical requirements for public hospitals and health centres, including mainly medication used in organ transplantation.
