Ministry of Transportation scoops two awards at Government Forum

Manama, Oct. 6 (BNA): Showing commitment to the Vision 2030, the Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunication won two awards at 2019 Government Forum, positioning the entity at the top ladder in innovation and efficiency. “We received one for an application that we had created called Al Nouras about flight permission that any aircraft that will fly over Bahrain. Earlier it was a manual process now it is all electronic and can be done in very short time,” the minister, Kamal bin Ahmed, said. “The second one is a programme for Tawasul. I would like to thank all the employees of the ministries because it was their work and not mine.” Holding the Government Forum is important for Bahrain and it is a place where all the government senior officials come together, discuss their projects and initiatives and coordinate with each other, the minister said. “Using this opportunity and being a participant of the 2019 Forum, I sorted out three of pending initiatives on my agenda with officials who were present today, namely from the Ministry of Finance and the Civil Service Bureau. I believe it’s an excellent gathering for government employees that takes place once a year.”
