Mohammed bin Mubarak Al-Khalifa Academy launched initiative

Manama, Oct. 12 (BNA): A programme aimed at promoting the standing of Bahrain in the world has made its debut today. A ceremony was held at the iconic Bahrain Fort (Qala’at Al-Bahrain) to launch the initiative themed “Dhiyafa”.
The Mohammed bin Mubarak Al-Khalifa Academy of Diplomatic Studies hosts through “Dhiyafa” a number of diplomats from different continents to consolidate international cooperation between Bahrain and other brotherly and friendly countries.
Academy executive director Dr. Shaikha Munira bint Khalifa Al-Khalifa addressed the launch ceremony, extending thanks to His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander, and First Deputy Premier and Foreign Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed Al-Khalifa for supporting the programme.
She praised the Office of the First Deputy Prime Minister (OFPDM), hailing its pivotal role in honing the skills of national cadres through the FDPM Fellowship who are contributing to Bahrain’s development and progress.
She stressed the importance of the initiative which aims at revealing Bahrain’s standing in the world by hosting diplomats nominated by their countries’ foreign ministries and who have a knowledge of the region’s history.
The programme “Dhiyafa” is based on idea which was declared winner of the Government Innovation Contest (Fikrat).
