Montenegrin Parliament Deputy Calls For Help To Complete Islamic Compound

Belgrade, Feb 22, IRNA – Muslim deputy of Montenegrin parliament asked Iran to help complete the largest Islamic compound in port city of Bar. Solio Mostavic told Iran Ambassador to Serbia Abolqassem Delfi and his accompanying delegation, who were visiting the site, about problems of Montenegrin Muslim and added that Iran’s help can accelerate completion of the compound. Ex-Interior Minister Jusuf Kalamperovic also presented explanation concerning the compound and called for Iranians' help to complete the building. He said that there are 16 thousand Muslims living in the port city of Bar, which is one third of the total population of the city and this would be the first large Islamic compound in the region. Building the compound started in 2002, but the construction work has not been fast enough due to financial problems./end
