M'sian PM, Najib Departs Home After Attending Asean Summit

From Jamaluddin Muhammad PHNOM PENH (Cambodia), April 4 (Bernama) -- Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak departed for home Wednesday night after attending the two-day Asean Summit, here. Najib accompanied by his wife Rosmah Mansor left the Phnom Penh International Airport, here, at 8.55pm (Malaysian time: 9.55pm). During the summit, Najib also joined other Asean leaders in separate meetings with Asean Inter-Parliamentary Assembly, civil society organisations and youth, all at the summit venue, the Peace Palace, here. Najib and Rosmah also had an audience with the Cambodian King, Norodom Sihamoni at the Royal Palace, on Wednesday. Najib has completed exactly three years in office on Tuesday, was surprised with a cake given by the Prime Minister's Office staff and all the Malaysians involved with the summit, at a hotel, here last night. Najib joined Asean leaders for the 20th Asean Summit retreat session and the concluding session at the Peace Palace, here, Wednesday. He also attended the 8th Brunei-Indonesia-Malaysia-Philippines East Asean Growth Area (BIMP-EAGA) Summit and the 6th Indonesia-Malaysia-Thailand Growth Triangle (IMT-GT), both at the Peace Palace. He concluded his working visit by delivering a keynote address at the 9th Asean Leadership Forum at a hotel, here. The Prime Minister and his wife arrived at the Subang Royal Malaysian Air Force base in Subang at 11.15pm. -- BERNAMA
