Nan hit with thunderstorm

NAN, April 13 (TNA) -- A thunderstorm hit three districts in the northern province of Nan ahead of the Songkran Festival, wrecking over 200 houses, felled a large number of electric poles and trees, prompting local authorities to provide the quickest assistance to victims. Thunderstorms landed in Nan's districts of Pua, Chiang Klang and the provincial seat in the middle of last night and this early morning, bashing the areas for hours and causing over 200 houses to be lose their roofs. Meanwhile, strong winds in the Ban Had Pla Haeng and Ban Wang Mor villages in Bor subdistrict of the provincial seat have felled trees on to the electric lines causing the poles to fell onto motorcycles parked in the area. Luckily, no one was harmed by the incident and local authorities are hurriedly inspected damages to provide the quickest assistance to victims. (TNA)
