"Nasser 9" Ramadan championship discussed

Manama, May 11 (BNA): The Supreme Organising Committee of the second Nasser bin Hamad Ramadan Games "Nasser 9" held its first meeting chaired by the head of the committee Tawfeeq Al Salehi. Present at the meeting were committee members including Hassan Ismail, the head of the championship committee; Jassim Mahmood, president of the referees committee; Hussain Al Durazi, president of the media committee; Mohammed Hussain, head of the technical committee; Redah Al Shamlan, the head of secretariat; Khalid Khalil, the head of services committee; Hamad Ali, the head of the ceremony committee; and Isa Al Thawadi, the head of the organising committee. Al Salehi began by passing on the greetings and the sincere appreciation of HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and President of Bahrain Olympic Committee, to the championship committees for the immense efforts directed towards achieving the goals, the message and values, on which the championship was founded. He pointed out that these efforts, side by side with HH Shaikh Nasser's support will continue to ensure the success the championship has achieved so far. Mr. Salehi stressed on the importance of making extra efforts to sustain the success of the championship since its launch, underlining that the next period will witness the last preparation stages for the championship kick-off. The listed agenda of the meeting was also discussed, following which the members explained their plans and strategies for the championship. The meeting additionally highlighted the importance of implementing the rules and regulations that are governing all the games in the championship. Members of the Supreme Organising Committee of Nasser 9 emphasised the role of the media committee, affirming the need of innovating media materials which will contribute to promoting it and maintain the achieved success. Before concluding the meeting, the head of the committees expressed keenness to ensure the success of the championship.
