Nasser bin Hamad crowned Arab Giving Knight

Manama, Apr. 24 (BNA): His Majesty's Representative for Youth Works and Sport Affairs, Royal Charity Organisation (RCO) Board of Trustees' Chairman His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa has been chosen as the "Arab Giving Knight".
The 4th Arab Giving Forum – Zayed Giving Initiative – honoured HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa in recognition of his pioneering humanitarian and charity works. The Arab Organization for Social Responsibility held the symposium for the first time outside the United Arab Emirates. Labour and Social Development Minister Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan patronised the event this evening at the Sofitel Bahrain Zallaq.
The ceremony was attended by Her Royal Highness Princess Noof bint Faisal bin Turki Al-Saud, Al-Ghad Youth Association Chairperson, RCO Secretary-General Dr. Mustapha Al-Sayyed, Representative of HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Arab Organization for Social Responsibility Chairman Sultan bin Abdulrahman Al-Bazea, GCC specialists and Arab voluntary work experts.
Addressing the ceremony, the minister congratulated HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa on the merited Arab honour which acknowledges his dedicated efforts and charity and social initiatives. He cited his crucial role in enhancing the role of the Royal Charity Organisation (RCO), ever since he became its chairman, and embodying the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa.
He commended the landmark achievements of HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, who set a role model to emulate through his strong-will and firm determination to honour Bahrain in all charity, social and sport events.
Humaidan welcomed the initiatives of the GCC countries, stressing the crucial importance of the Arab Giving Forum, being organised by the Arab Organization for Social Responsibility for the first time in Bahrain.
He paid tribute to the wise leadership and the Government for their keenness on promoting voluntary and charity work and spearheading their noble humanitarian goals in Bahrain. He commended the efforts of the Arab Organization for Social Responsibility to enrich social work, paying homage to late Shaikh Zayed bin Sultan Al-Nahyan for his initiatives and development projects in various Arab countries.
Arab Organization for Social Responsibility Chairman Sultan bin Abdulrahman Al-Bazea presented the Arab Giving Knight Award to Dr. Mustapha Al-Sayyed, Representative of HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa. He also honoured HRH Princess Noof bint Faisal bin Turki Al-Saud, UAE Ambassador for Humanitarian Work Dr. Reem Othman, UAE Dar Al Ber Society, Sudan's Dal Group and Labour and Social Development Minister Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan.
