National Day/ Ambassador of Finland: Qatari-Finnish Relations are Excellent and Growing, World Cup in Qatar will not be Forgotten

Doha, November 23 (QNA) - HE Ambassador of the Republic of Finland to Qatar, Pekka Voutilainen praised the distinction of the Qatari-Finnish relations, which witnessed good growth in terms of trade exchange, with great cooperation opportunities in the coming years. HE Ambassador of the Republic of Finland congratulated HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and HH the Father Amir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani and all the people of Qatar on the occasion of celebrating the National Day of Qatar on Dec. 18 of each year, adding that on behalf of the Government of the Republic of Finland and on my own behalf, we wish the State of Qatar further progress and prosperity. HE Pekka Voutilainen noted that the Qatari-Finnish relations are excellent and growing and have witnessed good growth in terms of trade exchange, with great opportunities for cooperation in the coming years, stressing his happiness that he is the first Finnish ambassador residing in the State of Qatar, as the Republic of Finland opened its new embassy in Doha in Dec. 2021. To conclude his statement to QNA, His Excellency praised Qatar's organization of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, stressing that it is an unforgettable tournament, indicating in this context that he expects the tourism flow to both countries to increase after the tournament, after the current year witnessed a steady flow of visitors.
