National Day/ Darb Al Saai Hosts Seminar on Poetry and Values

Doha, December 01 (QNA) - Qatar Poetry Center (Diwan Al Arab) held a seminar entitled "Poetry and Values" at Darb Al Saai on Thursday, as part of the program of cultural seminars accompanying the activities and celebrations of Qatar National Day, which is celebrated on December 18 each year. This year, it is held under the slogan "Our Unity Source of Our Strength". The event was attended by HE Minister of Culture and Chairman of the Organizing Committee for the National Day 2022 celebrations Sheikh Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al-Thani, HE Minister of State and President of Qatar National Library Dr. Hamad bin Abdulaziz Al Kuwari and HE President of Qatar University Dr. Hassan bin Rashid Al Derham, and a number of intellectuals, writers, media professionals, and the audience of Darb Al Saai. It was attended by poets Lahdan Al Kubaisi, member of the study committee at the Qatar Poetry Center, poet Ali Al Masoudi, poet Mahmoud Zaibak, and presented by journalist Atta Mohammed. The seminar highlighted the importance of poetry and values and their definition and tackled the meanings of different values. (QNA)
