Doha, December 13 (QNA) - HE Ambassador of the Republic of Romania to the State of Qatar Nicusor Daniel Tanase affirmed that the process of transformation that Qatar has experienced recently, especially in terms of political and economic growth, has made the country stand out as one of the fastest growing economies around the globe. In an exclusive statement on the occasion of Qatar National Day's coinciding with the hosting of the World Cup Qatar 2022, HE Ambassador Tanase told Qatar News Agency (QNA) that celebrating these two landmark events at the same time confirms Qatar's openness to the world - turning the country into an opportunity to celebrate its inclusive diplomacy and constructive and peaceful approach to the world, as well as the country's achievements in terms of impressive economic and political results. The perfect combination of wealth, wisdom and determination in Qatar has created a prosperous and secure country for its citizens and residents alike, His Excellency said, adding that Qatar has remained strong and its various projects continued to develop and grow - making the country flourish and thrive. The country's success also called for bold decisions and perseverance in moving towards achieving the goals of Qatar National Vision 2030, he noted. His Excellency explained that unity is the driving force for the diplomatic, political and economic outcomes of the State of Qatar, which has allowed the country - under the wise leadership of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, to build a cultural, social and economic path that transcends the region, as Qataris' unity contributed to overcoming challenges of any kind, and achieving the goals of building a resilient society. He pointed out that unity has given the Qatari community courage and motivation to make a change, and inspired them to work towards success - creating wonders and transforming the progress and prosperity of the entire country. HE Ambassador of Romania to Qatar highlighted the significance of the year 2022 for the relations between the two countries, as Oct. 22 marks the 32nd anniversary of bilateral diplomatic relations between them, adding that the two countries also witnessed an increase in bilateral exchanges in 2022. His Excellency also underlined the bilateral exchange that affirmed and reinforced the two countries' high level of commitment, such as the exchange of bilateral visits, and the political consultations at the level of the two foreign ministries that took place in Bucharest in early October, which resulted in the signing of two bilateral agreements and increased cooperation and mutual support within international forums, noting that bilateral trade exchanges have also witnessed a sharp increase during 2022. HE Ambassador of Romania to the Qatar emphasized the similarity of views that the two countries share, which resulted in excellent cooperation between them at the UN level, as both countries call for friendship and peace between states within the framework of international law.
