National Guard Commander attends Pakistan Day celebration

Islamabad, Mar. 23 (BNA): National Guard Commander, General Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa, participated as “guest of honour” in a celebration organised by Pakistan’s Army marking Pakistan Day which is observed on March 23. The celebration took place with the participation of the Pakistani President, senior officers, Pakistani people and residents as well as invitees from friendly countries. The National Guard Commander expressed most sincere congratulations to Pakistani President Dr. Arif Alvi and the Pakistani people on the occasion. He praised the military parades by Pakistan’s Army and the high competence, readiness and skills shown with the participation of forces from friendly countries. The National Guard Commander commended solid and long-standing relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, stressing the advanced level of military cooperation between both countries. A National Guard force participated in the military parade held to mark Pakistan Day as per a cooperation protocol signed by the National Guard and the Pakistani Army, which confirms strong ties binding both countries.
