NCC chief: BIDEC consolidates Bahrain’s success in hosting mega specialised events

Manama, Oct. 26 (BNA): The Chief Executive Officer of the National Communication Centre (NCC), Ahmed Al-Mannai, has stressed that the second edition of the Bahrain International Defence Exhibition and Conference (BIDEC 2019), due to be hosted by Bahrain, under the auspices of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander, the great support of National Security Advisor, Royal Guard Commander and Chairman of the High Organising Committee, Major-General HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and assistance of the Bahrain Defence Force, consolidates Bahrain’s success in attracting mega specialised exhibitions, thus promoting itself as a land to exchange experiences and expertise in various fields.
Al-Mannai said that soon after the announcement of BIDEC 2019, NCC formed a work team and the relevant directorates held intensive meetings to put forward an integrated plan to highlight the mega event in a distinguished way commensurate with its regional and global influence and weight.
He added that NCC had contacted local and foreign media outlets to inform them about the mega event aimed to provide a platform for those interested in the military sector and war industries to exchange information about the security and military developments and be updated about the latest technology in this regard.
Al-Mannai affirmed NCC’s keenness to support BIDEC 2019 and promote it at various local, regional and international media platforms in a way that would reflect Bahrain’s distinguished status in holding conferences and hosting specialised shows, within efforts to highlight the achievements attained under the comprehensive development march led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
He asserted that media personnel from local and international media outlets have confirmed their attendance of the mega world event which will attract hundreds of experts, intellectuals and decision-makers in the military, security and strategic fields, which, he said, embodies Bahrain’s vision to consolidate stability, peace, knowledge and development across the region.
NCC chief affirmed that directives had already been issued to the relevant NCC’s directorates to cooperate fully with all media outlets, and support them and give them the necessary editorial and video materials and information, for publication in various communication platforms, whether read, audio, written or digital.
Al-Mannai pointed out that NCC had issued a booklet on BIDEC 2019 aimed at providing a briefing to the media personnel about the nature of the event, and explaining its organisational aspects, as well as the detailed programme of the three-day mega global event to be hosted by the kingdom.
