NCC Chief meets British officials

Manama, Apr.24 (BNA): National Communication Centre (NCC) Chief Executive Officer Ahmed Mohammed Al-Mannai today received UK Executive Director for Government Communication Alex Aiken and British Ambassador to Bahrain Simon Martin. He stressed deep-rooted bilateral relations and steadily-growing joint ties which span more than 200 years, highlighting NCC strategies aimed at unifying Government media rhetoric and deepening partnership between the official and national establishments, in addition to opening up on local, regional and international media. He underlined the national development endeavor led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa, stressing landmark achievements in all fields. He shed light on the NCC-led role to highlight national achievements through the media and reveal people’s participation in sustainable development, followed up by the Minister of Information Affairs Ali bin Mohammed Al-Romaihi. UK Executive Director for Government Communications Alex Aiken commended Bahrain’s development strides, led by HM the King, hailing the role role NCC which puts the Kingdom among advanced countries in the field of Government communication. He outlined outstanding and practices related to media campaigns and strategic plans that target society in all fields. He also highlighted media plans and joint success stories. The two sides discussed media cooperation, stressing ways of benefiting from the British media expertise.
