NCC chief meets Egyptian ambassador

Manama, Mar. 18 (BNA): The National Communication Centre (NCC) Chief Executive Officer Dr. Mohammed Ali Behzad received Egyptian Ambassador Suha Ibrahim Mohammed Rifaat Al-Far and discussed means of strengthening cooperation. Dr. Behzad stressed keenness on discussing cooperation with all parties which have expertise and keeping abreast of Arab and international communication projects so as to achieve planned goals. He said that Bahrain’s leadership and people hold Egypt in high regard, expressing desire to benefit from successful communication practices in Egypt. He highlighted the NCC-led role to communicate with local, regional and international media as part of an efficient network which ensures sustained coordination and strategic communication between different institutions and the government departments. "The centre seeks also to update the local and international public opinion about Bahrain’s wide-ranging development achievements", he said. Dr. Behzad hailed advanced relations between Bahrain and Egypt in the communication field, stressing the need to step up efforts to confront challenges, for the sake of people in the region, and to unify the Arab stance to stave off all attempts to subvert their Arabs’ security and stability. The Egyptian ambassador expressed delight at visiting the centre and stressed solid relations and unified stances regarding regional and international developments and challenges. She said that she visited the centre to have an idea about its strategic role in unifying the Government’s media discourse.
