NCPW Participates in the 66th General Conference of IAEA

Doha, October 05 (QNA) - The National Committee for Prohibition of Weapons (NCPW) participated in the delegation of the State of Qatar participating in the work of the 66th General Conference of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), held in Vienna. The Directorate of Moral Guidance at the Ministry of Defense stated on its official website that Colonel Rashid Mohammad Al-Nuaimi, acting head of the National Committee for the Prohibition of Weapons, gave a presentation on cooperation between the State of Qatar, represented by the National Committee for the Prohibition of Weapons at the Ministry of Defense, and the International Atomic Energy Agency to secure FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 hosted by the country. The presentation dealt with the most important means of cooperation between the Agency and the National Committee, in addition to workshops, practical exercises, and field training for specialists in all concerned authorities in the country to train them on how to use nuclear and radiological detection equipment to secure the stadiums that will host the championship events.
