New main event at Brave Combat Federation

Manama, Sep. 20 (BNA): Brave Combat Federation – Brave " The Beginning " has a new main event following the withdrawal of Mohammad Fakhreddine from his fight with Thiago Vieira. Thankfully it’s an equally mouth-watering clash between two of Middle East’s young gun MMA prospects, 25-year-old Rami Aziz (8-3) and Abdul Kareem Al Selwady (5-1). Both are confident, highly skilled, and have the world at their feet, but only one can win and the likelihood is that the winner will become an instant success in the organization. Brave CEO Mohammed Shahid will be looking for marketable, stand-out performers who they can showcase to the world and both men could easily fit this description. Baghdad’s Rami Aziz, who has persistently goaded Al-Selwady, is extremely confident in his abilities and rightly so. He has a marathon-runners engine and trains by routinely completing triathlons, meaning this fighter won’t will keep the pace for the full three rounds. His most recent fight saw him capture his third submission victory over Ali Qaisi via rear naked choke and he is certainly a major threat when it comes to the ground game. Properly rounded Jordanian Al-Selwady, has been adding skills to his arsenal, by competing in catch-weight wrestling and Jiu-Jitsu. He lost his title in a shock defeat in 2014, and is on a mission to get the gold back around his waist. In fact, the new Al-Selwady may be unrecognizable since his last fight as he’s been training under the tutelage of grappling wizard Ashraf Shishani, at Shishani Submission Systems. Add that to his improved wrestling, already dangerous striking and you have one very well-rounded fighter. He will also have his father in his corner, adding extra emotion to an already charged atmosphere. Essentially this will be a compelling contest between two excellent athletes, who are dying to get their hands on each-other and show the world who the better man is. With this epic new main event, Thiago "Monstro" Vieira has been moved to the co-main event and will now fight a Dagestani fighter called Ghadzhimusa "Deadshot" Gaziev (6-1), who has a fearsome reputation in his home country. He has stepped up on one week’s notice to fight the undefeated monster from Sao Paolo, and we salute him for that. Opportunity knocks for both fighters, who find themselves in the co-main event of Brave: The Beginning, on September 23rd at Khalifa Sports City, Manama.
