Newly Refurbished Jaeger-Lecoultre Ready To Serve At Starhill Gallery, KL

KUALA LUMPUR, May 3 (Bernama) -- The newly refurbished Jaeger-LeCoultre boutique at Starhill Gallery, the largest in South East Asia, has officially opened its doors to customers. The plush yet inviting luxury watches boutique, covering a whopping 1,500 sq feet of space, was officiated by Minister of Tourism Malaysia Dr Ng Yen Yen. She said the boutique would attract more international tourist spendings, especially because Malaysia was a duty-free shopping destination. "We target to increase the tourist spendings in the country to US$55.50 billion (RM168 billion) by 2020, with 30 per cent of that coming from shopping," she told reporters at the event on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Jaeger-LeCoultre's Chief Executive Officer, Jerome Lambert, said the Malaysian boutique, with its elegant design concept, had set a precedent for others to follow. "With our new luxurious fittings and furnishings that are fit for royalty, we hope the boutique will set the pace and momentum for watch enthusiasts." The Jaeger-LeCoultre Malaysia will be exhibiting the full range of its collections including the Reverso, Duometre and Atmost clocks. --BERNAMA
