NIHR participates in Arab Regional Conference on protecting human rights

Cairo, Aug. 3 (BNA): The National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR), represented by Head of the Legal and Public Freedom Committee Dr. Bader Mohammed Adel, participated in the 3rd Arab Regional Conference on protecting human rights which is held under the theme “The Impact of Occupation and Armed Conflicts on Human Rights, Especially the Rights of Women and Children”. The event was organised in Cairo by the Arab League Secretariat General, in cooperation with the United Nations High Commission for Human Rights. The two-day conference, held under the patronage of Arab League Secretary General Ahmed Abul Gheit, aims to develop mechanisms to protect human rights during conflicts by boosting national legislation as well as regional and international conventions. The conference shed light on the regional and international framework to protect women and the impact of occupation on the life of women and children.
