NIHR strategy highlighted

Manama, Oct. 26 (BNA): President of the National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR) Dr. Abdulaziz Hassan Abul received newly appointed Italian Ambassador to Bahrain Domenico Bellato, in the presence of members of the Board of Commissioners Farid Ghazi and Dr. Hamid Hussain as well as Information and Communication Technology Director Fahad Al Ma'alla. He lauded strong and distinguished relations between both countries and their progress at all levels. He also discussed with the Italian ambassador the institution's strategy and goals and its role in promoting the culture of human rights in the reform era of His Majesty the King. The Italian ambassador praised the role of NIHR in the human rights field, stressing the need to boost cooperation and back efforts aimed at attaining common goals. He toured the building of NIHR and got informed about the institution's training centre, library and complaints office.
