NIHR's Civil, Political Rights Committee convenes

Manama, June 29 (BNA): The Civil and Political Rights Committee at the National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR) held its 13th meeting, under the chairmanship of Dr. Bader Mohamed Adel, and in the presence of members, Deena Abdulrahman Alladhi and Ahmed Mahdi Al Haddad. The meeting discussed the committee’s previous resolutions and recommendations and the procedures taken regarding them. It also discussed the demand referred to it by the Council of Representatives regarding the NIHR’s opinion on amending article 2 of Law 58/2006 on Protecting Community against Terrorist Acts. The committee approved the opinion included in the Representatives Council’s memorandum. The meeting also endorsed the monitoring form of the 2018 parliamentary and municipal elections.
