No problem in reaching exports target in 2012, says economy minister

ANKARA (A.A) - Turkish Economy Minister Zafer Caglayan said Friday that there was no problem in reaching exports target for Turkey in 2012. Speaking to the AA after inaugurating the Anadolu Agency's new editorial desk in Ankara, Caglayan said that the export figures of January were an harbinger of good export figures in upcoming months. Export figures in January pleased us all. Our goal is to have an export figure of 500 billion USD in 2023, Caglayan noted. Our export target in the medium term is 148.5 billion USD, Caglayan stressed. Touching on inflation figures, Caglayan said that they expected a sharp decline in inflation figures in Turkey in 2012.
