No Thai injured or fatalities in Indonesia quake so far: MFA

JAKARTA, Aug 6 (TNA) -- There have been no reports yet of Thai nationals injured or killed in the magnitude 7.0 earthquake that rocked the Indonesian islands of Bali and Lombok on Sunday (Aug 5), according to the Thai embassy in Indonesia. Mr Songphol Sukchan, Ambassador of Thailand to Indonesia said at least 91 people were killed and 209 injured after an earthquake shook the Indonesian resort islands of Lombok and Bali. He said there are no reports of injured Thais so far while 16 students at a Muslim school nearby are safe. The ambassador advised all Thai nationals to exercise caution and keep up with official Indonesian announcements. (TNA)
