Northern Governor receives Jordanian ambassador

Manama, Feb. 27 (BNA): Northern Governor Ali bin Al-Shaikh Abdul Hussain Al Asfoor received today Jordanian Ambassador to Bahrain Rami Saleh Warikat Al Adawan. He stressed historic and strategic relations between the two brotherly countries, expressing thanks for Jordan's supportive stances to Bahrain. He also emphasised the importance of engaging the youth in decision making regarding development and security issues to protect the nations' security and stability in light of the current challenges as well as internal and external conspiracies. The Northern Governor praised the youth's awareness of the plots against the nations, stressing the need to hold on to the national fundamentals uniting all social components without exception. He pointed out the Interior Minister's recent initiative to strengthen the national identity, confront discourse calling for disunity and immunize the religious rostrums against sectarianism, being a roadmap to protect the Bahraini people from exploitation and external manipulation. The Jordanian ambassador lauded the Northern Governorate's initiative "We are all Partners in Peace", describing it as a successful experience to contain the youngsters and unveil their ideas and potentials. The meeting was attended by the Northern Governor Office Director Jihad Al Naisar.
