Norwegian filmfest to screen Iranian family drama “A Cube of Sugar”

TEHRAN,Jan.10(MNA) -- The Iranian family drama “A Cube of Sugar” by Seyyed Reza Mirkarimi will go on screen at the Cinema Novo Festival which will be held from March 8 to 18 in Brugge, Norway. The film will go on screen in the Cinema View Section of the festival which features films and a few documentaries from Asia, Africa and Latin America. This edition of the festival focuses on India. In “A Cube of Sugar”, four sisters come home to help with preparations for their youngest sister’s engagement party, however not everything goes as planned. Negar Javaherian, Rima Raminfar, Saeid Pursamimi, Parivash Nazarieh, Reza Kianian and Hedayat Hashemi are the A-list cast of the film. The Festival wants to contribute to the introduction and the promotion of films from Africa, Asia and Latin America in Belgian film distribution. About 20,000 film fans see one or more of some 60 films. About 4,000 pupils (from 5 to 18) attend the screening of films from one of the three continents
