Norwegian PM Stoltenberg attends ship launching ceremony in Yalova

YALOVA (A.A) - January 10, 2012 - Norwegian Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg attended a ship launching ceremony in the north-western province of Yalova along with the Turkish Transportation Minister Binali Yildirim on Tuesday. Speaking at the ceremony, Stoltenberg said that "the Norwegians and Vikings have served emperors for centuries. They have been guards for Byzantine rulers. Today, ships constructed in Turkey sail from the same coasts and travel to Norway". Also speaking at the ceremony, Binali Yildirim said that "before the 2000s, sea buses for Turkey were manufactured in Norway. This has changed. Nowadays, we build Norwegian ships at Turkish shipyards".
