OCHA''s Delegation gets acquainted with Eid Charity Society's Efforts

Doha, June 11 (QNA) - A delegation of the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) got familiarized with the charitable efforts exerted by Sheikh Eid bin Mohammad Al Thani Charitable Society. This came during a visit the delegation of OCHA paid here on Tusday to the headquarters of the organization in Doha. The statement of the Eid Charity Society said that the OCHA's delegation includes, Trond Jensen,Head of UNOCHA and the GIS/ National Humanitarian Officer ,Najib Al-Mansour,who were briefed on the efforts of Eid Charity Society in all areas of charitable and humanitarian work, particularly the relief , developmental efforts , combating poverty, the orphans sponsorship and the small and medium- scale projects which will serve millions of needy and affected people in a number of countries in the world . The Director of the project management in Sheikh Eid Bin Mohammed Al Thani Charity Society,Ali bin Khalid al Hajri, has reviewed the relief and humanitarian efforts of the Society for the benefit of the Syrian refugees and displaced,in particular the provision of food, medicine and securing housing and the provision of caravans, tents and the establishment of the field hospital as well as its efforts during the disasters in Somalia, Pakistan, Myanmar and in the field of combating poverty and spreading the education and training in a number of countries in the world .(QNA)
