Omani delegation briefed about Bahrain's quality assurance experience

Manama, Sept. 12 (BNA): Chief Executive Officer of the Education and Training Quality Authority (BQA), Dr. Tariq Al-Sindi, and several BQA officials received here today a delegation from the Oman Authority for Academic Accreditation and Quality Assurance of Education (OAAAQA).
The delegation is on a visit to the kingdom to be informed about its education and training assurance experience.
The visit is within the ongoing BQA- OAAAQA joint programme to exchange expertise in the field of quality assurance between the kingdom and Oman, and highlight Bahrain's experience in the fields of education, training and academic qualifications' frameworks, as it is among the first at the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) level.
Dr. Al-Sindi asserted that BQA's experiences is among the most successful at the GCC level as many brotherly countries are keen to be informed about it, within the framework of its partnership and cooperation with its counterparts in other GCC states.
He affirmed that BQA's experience has contributed to enhancing similar experiences in other GCC countries, through the cooperation and partnership agreements it has signed with them.
The delegation was also briefed about BQA's experience as one of the initiatives to develop education and training in the kingdom.
It was also informed about the mechanisms adopted by BQA while reviewing the performance of educational, training and vocational institutions, in addition to its procedures in holding national exams and placing national qualifications on the National Qualifications Framework.
