Padjadjaran University Declared Runned Up at Asian Cup Moot 2014

Bandung, W.Java, Sept 5 (Antara) - The students of the Faculty of Law, University of Padjajaran, Bandung, West Java, have been adjudged the runner-up in the competition of the Asia Cup Moot 2014 held in Tokyo, Japan. "The Asia Cup Moot is a simulation court competition for law schools in Asia," Head of Public Relations, University of Padjajaran Sonny Nulhakim stated in a release received here on Friday. During the competition, issues related to international law, international humanitarian and human rights were discussed. Major universities from several countries in Asia participated in the competition, which was held in late August 2014. The Padjadjaran University team supervised by Siti Noor Malia Putri comprised Bagas Tiarniko Susetio, Fariz Sukma Ryanda, Novannisa Priadi, Debby Yerica Christine, Denis Lukman, Oliver Sitorus, Geode Dinar F, Andra Aditika N, and Adhitya P. "Padjadjaran University is the only representative from Indonesia at the event after passing the national level selection," Sonny remarked. At the international competition, the team had beaten competitors from seven other countries to advance to the grand finale where they faced Singapore Management University. The team also faced defending champions Ateneo Law School from the Philippines during the event.
