Panel begins reconciliation talks

BANGKOK, February 14 (TNA) - The government's Reconciliation Preparation Sub-committee has started holding reconciliation talks among Thai political parties. Reconciliation Preparation Sub-committee Chairman General Chaicharn Changmongkol, who is also Permanent Secretary for Defence, invited first three political parties to express their views and proposals on political reconciliation at the Ministry of Defence in Bangkok on Tuesday. The political reconciliation talks are based on the Constitution and cover 10 areas, including political disparity, legal, socio-economic, educational and public health, mass media, natural and environmental, foreign affairs, anti-corruption, national reforms and 20-year national strategic spheres.
