Parliament determined to defeat terrorism

Manama, Oct. 30 (BNA): Council of Representatives Speaker Ahmed bin Ibrahim Al Mulla welcomed the royal directives announced during today’s Cabinet session, stressing that the legislative branch will continue to work closely with the executive branch to promote democracy, construction and development under the royal reforms.
The Speaker highlighted that the Representatives Council will double efforts to continue developing legislation and laws to defeat terrorism and address actions aimed at undermining the homeland's security and stability.
He affirmed the parliament’s appreciation of the royal directives in respect of regional, global affairs and attempts that target the stability of the region’s countries and interference in their internal affairs. He pointed out Bahrain’s keenness to firmly push ahead with the Gulf cooperation progress and ensur it will be smoothly moving along.
He also emphasized the parliament’s appreciation of HM the King’s remarks on Qatar’s disrespect for the GCC charters, treaties and bonds and adopting policies that targeted the security of GCC member states, and because of Qatar's persistence in carrying out the same approach, the Kingdom of Bahrain could not participate in any GCC summit or meeting attended by Qatar, unless it comes to its senses and responds to the demands of the countries that suffered so much from its polices.
