PC Air receives warning
BANGKOK, October 20 (TNA) - Thailand’s Department of Civil Aviation (DCA) has warned PC Air, a Thai private low-cost airline, to strictly observe aviation regulations and does not leave its passengers stranded again; otherwise its operating licence could be either temporarily suspended or revoked.
DCA Director-General Voradej Hanprasert made the stern warning Saturday, after some 400 of PC Air passengers were left stranded at South Korea’s Incheon International Airport earlier this week. The incident occurred after its South Korean agent, Skyjet, did not pay airport charges and jet fuel totaling approximately 100,000 US dollars.
PC Air and its stranded passengers were all, however, able to depart from the South Korean Incheon International Airport for Bangkok from October 17-19 after the unpaid bills were cleared.
Meanwhile, PC Air confirmed that its commercial flights between Bangkok and South Korea have returned to normal and compensation will be paid to the affected passengers. (TNA)
