PDIP Delegation Heads To China To Study Development Issues
Semarang, Central Java, Oct 14 (Antara) - Fifteen delegates from the Indonesia Democratic Party - Struggle (PDIP) left for China on Monday at the invitation of the Chinese Communist Party to study development issues in the Chinese party`s school.
The delegates are scheduled to stay in China until October 23. Before their departure, chief delegate Eva Kusuma Sundari said this will be the third such delegation to visit the Chinese Communist Party`s school.
The delegation includes Vanda Sarundayan, a member of the House of Representatives` Commission VI; Ngawi district head Budi Sulistyo; East Flores district head Yoseph Lagadoni Herin; and the chairman of the Semarang district legislative assembly, Bambang Kusriyanto.
The delegation plans to visit Shanghai, Guiyang, and Beijing, said Eva.
In Shanghai, the delegates will study how the different chapters and branches of the party work. They will also pay a visit to a child health treatment center and observe efforts on agricultural development.
In Guiyang, the delegation will see how the local government is working to develop small and medium health businesses so as to enable them to enter international markets.
In Beijing, the PDIP delegates will have workshops with experts and members of the Chinese Communist Party`s school board. The workshops will cover "Grassroots Cadres` Competitive Selection and Training", "Experiences on Building Close Party-Masses Relationship", and "Sharing Experiences on Strengthening and Innovating Social Administration", Eva said.
