Penang National Front Builds Innovation Dynamo Park For Youths

GEORGE TOWN (Penang, Malaysia), May 21 (Bernama) -- Penang National Front (Barisan Nasional-BN) is building an Innovation Dynamo Park to assist the community especially youths in the state market their creative ideas and to be groomed as competent entrepreneurs. State BN chairman, Teng Chang Yeow said the project would be a platform for the younger generation to put forward their ideas and innovations to be developed into useful products for the people. "The ideas could be in information technology, food industry, machines or equipment, we will help so long as they are marketable and can benefit to the people," he told reporters after opening a Mini-Carnival of the Jelutong Parliamentary constituency's community cooperative, here on Sunday. Teng said to support the project, the state BN would set up a Private-Public Initiative Council, which would enlist the private sector as investor and provide the technology to realise the dreams of youths. He said through the council, BN would study in two months to understand the concept and demands of the people before deciding on the mechanism to activate the project. He said the implementation of the project in Seberang Perai would go on even if BN failed to form the government in the upcoming general election. -- BERNAMA
