Permanent Mission to UN in New York marks Bahrain Sports Day

New York, Feb. 11 (BNA): In line with the decision of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, the support of the representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and the follow-up of the First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, Chairman of the General Sports Authority and President of Bahrain Olympic Committee, His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, to allocate February 10, 2022 as Bahrain Sports Day, the Permanent Mission of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the United Nations in New York held an event on this occasion. The event reflects the interest and keenness of the Kingdom to activate the role of sport in order to achieve the goals of sustainable development. The Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Bahrain, Ambassador Jamal Faris Al Rowaiei, and the permanent mission's affiliates participated in the event, which included walking and cycling in downtown New York.
