Permanent Old Bahrain Photo Gallery launched

Manama, June 9 (BNA): In partnership with Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BACA) and in association with Manama souk development unofficial committee, Bahrain News Agency (BNA)'s Permanent Photo Gallery was opened at Bab Al Bahrain.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Bahrain Exhibitions and Tourism Authority (BETA)'s CEO Shaikh Khalid bin Humood Al Khalifa, Bahrain Journalists Association Chairman Monis Mahmood Al Mardi and representatives from the ministries, official institutions and local newspapers.
The gallery was part of BNA's continuous informative services and efforts to document the important phases in the history of the kingdom's revival and development.
Communication and International Relations Consultant and Acting Director-General of BNA Mohannad Al Nuaimi praised the directives of Information Affairs Minister Ali bin Mohammed Al Rumaihi and his support and encouragement to this initiative of organising photo exhibitions in line with the ministry's strategic plans to boost the role of various media institutions to dedicate their efforts to serving the nation and its citizens in all fields.
Al Nuaimi expressed his gratitude and appreciation to Shaikh Khalid bin Humood bin Abdullah Al Khalifa the CEO of BACA for his presence and inauguration of this photographic show and his praising the role and efforts of the kingdom's official news agency and its staff.
Bahrain News Agency (BNA) plans to organise similar permanent galleries in cooperation with BACA in various locations all over the kingdom to boost the informative role of BNA and its message in the local arena, according to Al Nuaimi.
"BNA Zaman (Old Bahrain) is one of the media services provided by Bahrain News Agency aimed to document the ongoing major historic phases in the Kingdom's revival and development march, in cooperation with ministries, state institutions, and local newspapers," BNA Zaman's Supervisor Amal Jaffar said.
"BNA transmits on a daily basis a collection of photos and movies on BNA's website (www.bna.bh) and also on its social network accounts that showcase the ancient and contemporary history of Bahrain's community and its prominent personalities in all fields and sectors," Amal, who is also the Gallery Supervisor, added.
