PRACHUAP KHIRI KHAN, Dec 3 (TNA) -- King Mongkut Memorial Park of Science and Technology is set to exhibit a garbage collection boat made from over 10,000 plastic bottles on the Thai Environment Day tomorrow, aimed to raise awareness among the Thai people on environmental preservation.
Acting Director-general of the King Mongkut Memorial Park of Science and Technology of Prachuap Khiri Khan province, Paitoon Nomklom said that on the occasion of the Thai Environment Day on December 4, the park, together with the Prachuap Khiri Khan Natural Resources and Environment Office are set to organise activities to celebrate the Thai Environment Day between December 4-6 at the plaza in front of the Waghor Aquarium.
He said a garbage collection boat made out of more than 10,000 plastic bottles, which have been donated by the general public, would also be put on display at the event for visitors to see, as well as targeted to help raise awareness among the Thai people to preserve the environment.
Other activities include the trash separation and recyclable waste before re-using them to invent other useful items or home decorations.
