Police awareness campaigns held across Southern Governorate

Manama, May 20 (BNA): As part of the directives of His Highness Southern Governor, Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Khalifa, the Southern Governorate Police Directorate has organised awareness campaigns that included distribution of publications to enhance general and traffic safety.  Those campaigns also included regulation of traffic near mosques. Director-General of the department highlighted that as part of the first-of-its-kind initiative to promote community partnership, the Women Police patrols were deployed to protect the privacy in women-related cases. He said that the female team members are from the community police and were selected for their expertise in dealing with people after receiving the required training.
