Police bust fake plane, hotel booking scam

Manama, Aug. 8 (BNA): The police arrested a man who cheats people and sells them fake plane and hotel bookings, The Anti-corruption and Economic and Electronic Security director-general announced. The officers spotted an Instagram account belonging to a travel agency which receives money from customers without providing them, any services. The inquiry revealed that the account is fake and that its owners are operating without any legal authorization. "The user of the account was identified and arrested after securing a warrant from the Public Prosecution", the director-general said. In a statement tonight, he said that legal measures are underway to refer the suspect to the Public Prosecution to face charges.
