Political Affairs Undersecretary, European Commission discuss cooperation

Brussels, June 23 (BNA): The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs, Dr. Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, met here today the Director-General of the Immigration and Internal Affairs Department of the Commission, Johannes Luchner. The two sides discussed prospects for joint cooperation and exchange of experiences with the European Commission. During the meeting, they reviewed the process of cooperation and strategic partnership between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the European Union, and the consultations aimed at exempting citizens of the Kingdom of Bahrain from pre-visa requirements (Schengen) when visiting the European Union countries. They also discussed regional and international issues of common concern.
