Premier: Bahrain’s successes continue

Manama, Aug. 28 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa has affirmed that under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Kingdom of Bahrain is moving from one success to another.
The positive reactions and regional and global praise of Bahrain’s leadership and people are the fruitful results of the effective contributions of Bahrainis, he said, stressing that any tribute to any Bahraini leader is a tribute to the people of Bahrain.
“Since I took office, my ultimate goal has been to implement the directives of my Amir then and my King now to serve our people. I am pleased with the responsibility entrusted to me in the past, present and in the future for the sake of Bahrain’s King and people,” he said.
HRH Premier made the statements while receiving at the Gudaibiya Palace today senior Royal Family members, intellectuals, media personnel, businessmen, state officials and citizens, led by the President of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, Shaikh Abdulla bin Khalid Al Khalifa.
While reviewing national issues, HRH the Prime Minister praised the role played by the Press, being a mirror that reflects the concerns of the people. In this regard, he paid tribute to columnists, stressing that through their pens and articles, many things that interest the nation and the citizens have been uncovered. He urged them to keep up their approach which, he said, reflects the patriotism of all segments of the Bahraini society.
HRH Premier extended thanks to whoever defended the nation through their stances in support of its security and integrity, warning that some parties seek to harm the kingdom in one way or another, and tend to believe that Bahrain is the weakest link. However, he said, the kingdom has proved it is the strongest link, as it has been difficult to be broken thanks to strength of its people and wisdom of its leadership.
The Prime Minister hailed the “positive and constructive” role played by the national constitutional establishments, lauding, in this context, the Council of Representatives which, he said, is cooperating fully with the government in order to achieve national goals. He added that the Executive-Legislature cooperation in the development process is extremely constructive. He also praised the role of the National Institution for Human Rights in refuting allegations and countering attempts to undermine the human rights achievements in the kingdom.
Tackling development issues, HRH Premier said that Bahrain had achieved the best for its people and would harness all its potentials to continue those efforts. He added that achievements of the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) for their peoples were better than those of big countries because they had dedicated all their potentials and resources to serving their citizens and improving the quality of the services provided to them.
The Prime Minister called on Arab countries to mend rifts, overcome their differences and place top national interests above all other issues, warning that differences inside the Arab Nation would weaken Arab countries and allow its enemy to achieve its goals of fragmenting it and impeding its unity and efforts to fulfill the aspirations of Arab citizens.
