Premier, Crown Prince discuss economic development initiatives

Manama, May 9 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa today received His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier, and his son HH Shaikh Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa at Gudaibiya Palace. HRH Premier congratulated His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, HRH the Crown Prince and HH Shaikh Isa on the birth a new baby, HH Shaikh Abdulla bin Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa, wishing HRH Crown Prince and his family continuous joys and happiness. The two leaders discussed ways to consolidate the facilities and initiatives provided by ministries and government departments to enhance the kingdom's competitive potentials in attracting investments. HRH Premier and HRH Crown Prince also discussed initiatives to develop the economic and trade sectors in the kingdom using modern technology to keep abreast of world systems and serve the investment atmosphere in the country. This will fast-track transactions, support the private sector's role in spurring economic growth, revitalise trade, industrial and tourism sectors, generate value-added jobs that appeal to the citizens and ensure the sustainability of the development progress, they said.
