Premier receives Southern Governor, Charity Work Prize honorees

Manama, Sep. 26 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa paid tribute to the GCC leaders for their keenness on unity, peace and welfare to prevail in the region. He was speaking as he received at Gudaibiya Palace today Southern Governor Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa who introduced to him senior participants in Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Khalifa Prize for Charity Work (Loyalty to Givers). HRH the Premier lauded the initiatives of Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa to promote the culture of charity work and showing gratitude to those who dedicated themselves to the service of the homeland, the nation and humanity. He stressed the Arab world's need for such initiatives to showcase values of altruism and assistance, pointing out that such initiatives deserve every support as they are the pride of every nation. HRH the Prime Minister underlined the importance of Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Khalifa Prize for Charity Work (Loyalty to Givers) in highlighting the bright models in the communities which are worth emulating. He described charity work as a culture and an inherent part of the Bahraini customs and traditions besides being a religious and moral duty. He underscored support to the institutions in their efforts to boost social welfare and development and foster tolerance and co-existence among all people. The Southern Governor expressed heartfelt thanks and gratitude to HRH the Premier for his unflinching support to all initiatives aimed at fostering the culture of philanthropic work, describing him as a model to follow in this respect. The honorees lauded the directives of HRH the Premier and his praise of their charity work efforts, describing it as an incentive to do more in this regard. They also hailed the initiatives of Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, describing them as lessons to follow by the youth in the Arab world.
