Premier stresses Bahrain's keenness on regional security

Manama, Apr. 30 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa underlined the importance of international cooperation to foster peace and security around the world and in the Middle East, in particular. HRH the Premier was speaking as he received at Gudaibiya Palace today the US Ambassador to Bahrain Justin Siberell and outgoing Commander, US Naval Forces Central Command, Combined Maritime Forces, US 5th Fleet Vice Adm. John Aquilino who introduced to him the new Commander Rear Adm. Scott Stearney. HRH the Prime Minister lauded the efforts of Vice Adm. John Aquilino in cementing ties of friendship and cooperation between both countries. He also congratulated Rear Adm. Scott Stearney on his appointment, wishing him every success. He underlined Bahrain’s keenness on backing all efforts aimed at boosting regional security and stability, pointing out the pivotal role of the USA in this respect. He also praised historical relations and cooperation between Bahrain and the USA and their distinction in various fields. The Commander of the US Central Command lauded the efforts of Bahrain government, under the leadership of HRH the Premier, to consolidate bilateral ties, commending growing relations between both countries at all levels. He also praised the kingdom’s efforts to bolster international security and stability.
