Premier urges Arab unity in facing dangers

Manama, June 14 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa has stressed the dangerous situation of the Arab nation amid conspiracies to drive wedges among its countries and peoples for expansionist ends. HRH the Premier was speaking as he received at Gudaibiya Palace today ambassadors and Heads of the diplomatic missions of brotherly and friendly countries led by Dean of the Diplomatic Corps Kuwaiti Ambassador to Bahrain Shaikh Azam Al-Mubarak Al Sabah. HRH the Prime Minister underscored the importance of Arab coalition and cooperation amid developments undergone by the Arab nation and challenges posed to it. He commended ability of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to lead the Arab and Islamic alliance, stressing the need to support it. He praised Saudi Arabia’s unrelenting efforts to defend the Arab nation and its interests, pointing out that the Arab nation is facing an unprecedented danger in light of the conspiracies targeting its security and stability. He expressed regret over the deteriorated situation in some Arab countries due to civil wars there, pointing out plots to disunite the Arab nation and distract attention from the Palestinian cause. HRH the Prime Minister underlined the need for a more effective role of relevant organisations to mend the Arab rift, stressing that any interference in Arab countries’ internal affairs is unacceptable. He urged concerted efforts to stave off dangers and thwart plots to drag the Arab nation into the cauldron of violence.
